What different serviced do folk use? Not sky or virgin but a standard digital set top box with hard disc recording.

Got ee tv atm but im removing fibre to go to a 4g router with unlimited data which knocks the spots off it and is half the price.

Seems i can keep eetv till it ends in 2021 (not sure how much) but wondering what else is good atm.

The humax boxes seem to have been around ages which makes me wonder if they are outdated tech.

Heard apple have launched services too.

Mainly want if for freeview and catch up for te kids and their programs. I hardly ever watch tv anymore.

Humax and Technomate have an excellent reputation. I personally use a Technomate for FreeSat and love it. I can't remember the model number, but it's quite old now so you probably can't buy that model new. What I'm saying is, take a look at the satellite forums and look for those brands, and you can't go far wrong.
