too many passes going astray tonight

apart from that villa did what poor prem teams do. took out hourihan several time from behind, almost out of the game. unpunished by an average ref. strong fightback though and a draw was a fair result. big mac motm for me. some great passes, seems to get better every game.

 

Average ref? Bit genourous was going to put a thread on about his performance but it's getting abit of a regular thing so I haven't bothered.

Thought the ref was pretty good. Easy to say Hourihane got kicked about but let's be honest he probably should've been booked inside the first minute for the foul on Bacuna so he started the fouling off.

Lost count of the amount of times our lad would clearly foul a Villa player & the fans around me would make out we're been robbed when the ref inevitably blows for it.

 

First time this season I can really fault us for giving up easy possession with poor distribution. 8/9 times especially in the second half we shot ourselves in the foot.

Macca, Yiadom, Scowen, KPekQPRa all guilty.

Their goal came from a misplaced pass that took our midfield triangle outta the move as all were wrong side of the ball ...
then boom!

But we're young, inexperienced at this level against a team that cost £72mill.,,,.
