Thought we were better side first half and played fairly well, should have taken advantage of that by going in ahead but didn’t.

Didn’t start at all for at least 20 minutes in the second half and ironically whilst being poor we were the ones for a change on the end of a gift from the opposition. Should have gone on from that but didn’t and we were unbelievably frustrating and proceeded, as usual, to give the result away.

Reading were terrible and it’s not good that we haven’t managed to beat one of the worst, non threatening performances from an away side I’ve seen this year.

I thought some of our balls into the box/final decision making from out wide tonight was beyond awful.

Frustrating to watch , knowing that with 2-3 quality additions we would be a decent championship team

Got to say that may be the first nail in the coffin.

We were awful. Missed numerous chances. Poor defending from their corner for a goal. Wasted loads of good positions late one. Reading were dire and we still return the gift that they granted us.

That makes for grim reading, your above match evaluation.
    And, sadly, I fully agree.

Their goal seemed to me to be a simple failure by Williams J to kick a ball out that came to him at the front post. Another simple mistake. I may be wrong.

Reading were not much different to many other teams we've played - they play it about no better than we do but they know how to punish errors.

Reading's number 14 can beat a man - he kept beating anyone who tried to tackle him.

they scored from one of the worst corners I’ve seen, only reached the front post by bouncing twice in the box straight to 3 of our players who could only play pinball with it and give it to Joao to poke it in.

tonight though it wasn’t only the defence to blame for not getting 3 points, we should have made more of our possession in the final third too.

Nothing new there, seen it most games this season.
We either overhit a cross / pass or can't beat the first man. It makes you wonder what the **** they are doing in training all week.

I think we're getting a bit desperate now and snatching at things..
Tonight did give me a bit of confidence for league 1 next season though.
Get a few wins and some confidence back in an easier division and we could do ok again.
