Most worrying time as a supporter for 25 years I've seen some ***** on the pitch but the football witnessed this season trumps it all. The lying to fans about closing the west stand, the rumors about inquiring about a ground share with Bradford,Wigan,Rotherham etc, the missing 750k. Embarrassing on and off the field.
Yeah they should put their hands in their pockets as it was the third game in row no paper towels in the gents so people leave without washing their hands to avoid queuing for two measly hand dryers. Can we blame them for the pitch announcer not announcing the 'super reds' were coming back out for the second half.
They know nothing about football or what it takes to stay in the Championship. We know they didn't try to persuade Val to stay on.
What about paying Schopp off and agreeing a fee with Sweden for Asbaghi? Then there's the 500k they paid Orlando for Dike to participate in the Play-Offs. I suspect that came to more than 750,000. Not bad for owners that don't put anything into the club.
Who in all reality is going to buy the club for a premium, or our players at a profit at the moment? Rough with the smooth? Maybe? Surely you need to speculate a tiny bit, or at least get the ground & service levels up to scratch. The match day experience at the moment equates to sitting in a bath of 90 day old horse **** for 45 minutes, waiting in a mile long cue for a flat pint of sh!te beer, not having hime to drink it properly before you immerse yourself for another 45 minute horse **** bath. There are no towels when you get out so you just need to wipe the ice off your knackers, pull your jeans on & go home. Sometimes you are pleased to see an international break.
Yes because if it didn't come from them where did it come from? Compensation to Hartberg and Sweden under 21's. I'm sure even though Schopp had a look of Benny it didn't knock down the asking price for Asbaghi. Just because Conway knew a few people and liked a laugh doesn't mean he came on the cheap. He was the best we could do. That takes money and it's a rich man's game.
Well some compo off someone at least contributed to the 750k We as fans were credited with support for buying our "season passes" and never attended. So the only downside of takings was pay on the day. Which surely was not much consideration since they had no stewards or other match day staff to pay. I think the covid "losses" can be nothing more than an excuse to a club like ours. Well maybe a bit from no away fans, seen as we like to open our doors full swing for away fans like
We paid Orlando 500k to keep Dike for a extra two weeks ? I find that very difficult to believe No make that impossible. I'd knock at least one if not two zero's !! off that number
Who is TBH? Gonna be a long hard season I think. I don't think Klopp could save us the way things are.
To go from 5th to not even a fight against relegation is quite some feat. We'll struggle to get to 25 points. The fact that the owners seem to have the CEO on a fixed term contract, then be taken by surprised when that fixed term comes to an end pretty much sums them up. But to also follow that with the company secretary, head coach, assistant coach, sports scientists, head physio, goalkeeping coach, plus probably others that I've missed, is grossly incompetent. Possibly negligently so.
