So what are we looking at?
A head coach who says the owners have no ambition for the club. The owners accused of not paying what is owed for the club. Suggestions that we play away from Oakwell and further assertions that there are reasons why they can’t buy the ground. Grove Street???
When Struber said that fighting to stay up is not for him, am I the only one who thought “me neither”.
All in all it’s not a good picture and with the close of the transfer window also upon us it just doesn’t get better.
Struber certainly is no superman but if he was committed I’d rather have kept him than not. Do we now have to run with a caretaker for the next couple of months?
What kind of manager (sorry, head coach) are we looking for? Another one season wonder with a buy out clause who is part of the develop to sell system, or are we going to build for longer than one season at a time?
It's hard enough for us to compete in this division with what Struber described as the lowest budget in the league without all of these distractions. This is what comes of having owners who have no connection to, or love for the club. And while the owners move down a list of players they play Russian roulette with each other about ownership of the ground. They're supposed to be billionaires and if that is so why are they pi****** about over scraps like £2.7 million?
I've wanted to trust and believe in the new owners, but frankly at this moment I'm struggling to do so.
