Feels like another international break to me. We've been so used to playing midweek matches lately that it feels empty not having a game tonight or tomorrow, or even next Saturday. I hope at least some of the results go for us before next Sunday. I expect Bournemouth to overtake us tonight with a win at Huddersfield and Reading could claw three points back by beating Cardiff on Friday. So, whatever happens, we are still top six before we go to Birmingham next Sunday but it would be great to still have a bit of a cushion, and then increase it with a rare win away to Coventry.
The players deserve a break with all the games we've been playing, it's been a hectic schedule. A full week to recharge the batteries and have a good go at Coventry
Of all our rivals up there I fear them most. They have got their form back just in time, and David Brooks returning from injury is a big boost for them.
I'm not saying they won't benefit from a break, and of course Coventry are playing on Thursday, but I'm just being selfish. I want two matches a week
I think it’s between us and Reading now Bournemouth have hit form. Safe to assume that Reading will beat Cardiff, Luton and Huddersfield, so 75 points plus whatever they get against Swansea and Norwich. Might need three wins yet.
Agree, and I think it will really benefit us - I'm predicting Coventry get blown away by a Red's hurricane.
Last September we said mid table mediocrity would be an achievement. Look how far we've come when we're classing the PL relegated teams and the teams in last years playoffs as rivals....
Cardiff will be no gimme as it could be their "all or nothing" game to keep their slim hopes alive. Would be nice of Macca to do us a favour.
They’ve just drawn at home to the most out of form team in the league, who also hit the woodwork three times. I’m not expecting much from them.
