The whole setting at the club was very quiet and the connection between club and fans was at a very low ebb. We were complaining about something and nothing, Beevor Court, the mended fence, the crap food and drink, the queues, the state of the east stand, atmosphere like a library, etc etc. Then we were facing Derby and someone woke up and asked for help, help to turn things around by simply bringing a scarf, different choice of food and drink, and then one guy in the ponty got off his arse, waved his arms around and got the fans singing and shouting. The change has been remarkable, something I've not seen before. I hated coming to Oakwell, in fact I stayed at home. Now it's a pleasure once again. And nobody is moaning about the little things any more even though they still exist. The focus is where it should be. Hope we keep it up cos next time it's Morecambe. Pack the ponty.
