Excellent appearance from the bench yesterday...quick and direct with good touches and very unlucky with the free kick and follow up.....but does anyone know what wound him up at the final whistle?
I think he initially stepped in when Pillonis was arguing with a Bristol lad. Possibly the one who elbowed him? Couldn't really see, something must have been said following that.
Agree. To be fair, he should have come on at half time. Think he was wound up after that tackle on him when he appeared to hurt his knee. Liam Lyndsey mentioned about injuries during his MOTM presentation, but didn’t go into detail.
Was going to mention last night that somehow we need to harness Thiam’s dynamism when he comes on as a sub and have him show this from the start of a game. Just not seen him play with the tenacity he’s showed in the last two home games off the bench when he’s in the starting 11. Scares the opposition to death when he’s in the mood.
He’s currently playing the role of an impact sub. Which is working well. For me, he needs to come on a touch earlier though. Yesterday he should have come on at half time. Other games, 55mins. Trouble is, the more you use someone as an impact sub, the more their match fitness wears off. Which is why they still need to start the odd game or two.
You never really know what you’re going to get with him and sometimes that works in our favour. He certainly gave us something different yesterday and was impressive in his cameo.
He kept holding his chest in the last 5 mins after he did the dramatic forward roll and roll around on the floor.
Apparently Sky asked Hecky about Thiam before the Luton game. Did anyone know what he said? I think it was something on the lines of ‘he’s a powerful shot from both feet and wins a lot for his height’ but not seen the full clip?
We keep getting on about a shortage of strikers,Well isn’t Thiam supposed to be one.He has scored 4 goals up to now so why can’t he play up front with Moore. With them 2 charging forward it would cause chaos In defences.
Crap isn't he. Those goals against Oxford, Luton and Fleetwood were just luck I reckon. As was his free kick which hit the bar yesterday.
I can kick it hard. I can also run around ineffectually for 95% of my life. I say run in the loosest sense of the word.
Yeah he just kicks it hard. Anyone can do that. Had no impact whatsoever on the game yesterday. He must be a lot fitter than most suggest though if he's running around 95% of his life. Needs to have a rest.
5 goals from 9 starts on the wing nah surely not a footballer. I could think of a few players this season who look more like raffle winners at times.... mcgheen, Ben Williams and can someone please tell me what bahre brings to the table?
I don't mind thiam but he need a to be more consistent put the Luton and Fleetwood games to bed though and can give that moment of magic to win a game.
