Sad to say it. Every 50/50 they came out on top, every ball that might or might not go out they chased and we left. They sussed our tactics, frustrated us and the lads didn't didn't cover themselves in glory today I'm afraid. Really, really, disappointing.

I wouldn't say Luton wanted it more, but they were certainly physically stronger and quicker to any 50/50s.

We seemed to be all too hurried, with passes played too quickly and losing accuracy. They pressed us better than we did to them, giving us no time on the ball.

Pity about Frieser missing that great opportunity, in a similar position at the far post to where he should have scored against Forest.

Having said that, Collins missed an opportunity for them, and Berry fizzed a shot just wide, so they edged it on chances. It just leaves you feeling a bit deflated after expecting a win. Let's see a response against Boro.

I must say I do also think Luton's tactics were spot on in terms of countering our press

I didn’t see it that way tbh I didn’t think they had anymore desire than us .
They were more physical definitely which enabled them to retain the ball and take it off us but can’t fault the desire of our lads .
We hurrying passes and making wrong decisions and we seemed to have run out of ideas .
solid defensively but because of our giving ball away we were under what seemed constant pressure but denied them too many clear cut chances but alas we need to give the defence a breather otherwise they’ll eventually score and they did .
Not worried after this result we will create and take chances in games and defence seem very capable .

I don't think we played well but I agree with you in that some of that was credit to Luton. I applaud the fact that GS changed personnel early second half but in this case I don't think the changes worked at all with both Freiser and Palmer more anonymous than those replaced. We needed to change the way we were playing not just personnel. I didn't see that and Luton did the job on us by having a finisher.
