Villa's team last Saturday cost an unbelievable £72,000,000 according to one of the posters on here.

I reckon our whole squad may have cost around a paltry £950,000.

This is villa they broke the record last season for the lowest points tally in premier league history. They haven't won away for God knows how long they have won once in the championship so far. They really shouldn't be so wednesday.

 

In truth with the money spent, they should be beating us. But it's 11 v 11 on the pitch. And anything can happen

 

In fairness unlike the Fowls they do actually have a history

 

Hate this as much as anyone else, but the gulf in sizes between us is like between us and someone like Accrington Stanley. Now imagine that we'd stayed down and Stanley came up, a lot of folk on here would be saying exactly the same - that we should be stamping our authority and heavily beating 'teams like Stanley'.

 

Playing the likes of Accrington Stanley would have been the highlight of the season

I can understand them thinking that way to some extent.... when you have a squad that cost that much then I too would perhaps be thinking on those lines. It would be wonderful, however, if we do to them what we did to Wolves.... as the Wolves are a quite close neighbour to them.... I think the Wolves fans would be delighted in that.

 

I think you'll find it isn't the lowest PL points total. Derby with just 11 points in 2007/8 is the lowest & Sunderland only got 15 points 2 years before that.
