THIRTY NINE QUID. Yes £39 !!! For over 16s. Must be a category A+++ event. I know it's important to keep up these events but I would not pay that much just to see a pair of propeller aeroplanes and some parachute jumpers and an odd jet. Really hope they've got some big, main event to justify that price. I live a couple of miles away as the crow flies, so I'll be on my bike to watch it for nowt from the perimeter fence !!
I could be wrong but I believe the increase in prices for all air-shows is due to a massive increase in insurance costs as a result of the deaths at Shoreham.
Rip off. I go to Blackpool every August for their free two day seafront Sunday and Monday show. See the Red Devils, lots of war planes and the brilliant Red Arrows all for nothing.
Its worse than that. Theres also a £2 booking fee even though you can only buy tickets online and theyre delivered instantly by email. AND you have to park offsite and be bussed in. And on top of all that theres this telling sentence on the official site: "Different in size, scale and layout from the airshow previously held at RAF Waddington" - so theyre shafting us royally for Waddo Lite. Or rather they aren't cos they can stuff it. Sent by a one-legged pigeon
Actually looking at it from a different angle I wonder if the pricing is so high specifically to keep numbers down? Given that they can't accommodate Waddo-sized crowds of 100,000 per day. Sent by a one-legged pigeon
