........Can't make my mind up if this is a good or bad omen.............. On the one hand - are they waiting for max season tickets to be sold before telling us that we get the dregs of managers/players that are left unwanted on the bench.............. ............Or are they taking their considered time to try to get things right for us this time round and we are on the cusp of some dramatic and unexpected revelation from them. I also think that being relegated was a bit unexpected to them, so their plans have been scuppered somewhat. Please discuss
I don't mind them taking their time as long as it means we get the right man for the job, unlike last time. I just hope we don't drag it out until the middle of the summer when we'll only have the dregs to choose from in terms of signings.
A bit of info wouuldn’t go amiss though, like heaven how far on with theprocess they are.TBH this silence is getting really annoying, on the one hand they want enthusiastic fans but on the other hand they can’t be arsed to keep us informed even a little bit!
I think there’s a difference between doing a good job and being seen to do a good job. I’m more than happy for our business to be done effectively and efficiently behind closed doors. We’ve had snippets via the Chronicle and Radio Sheffield and that’s more than enough, in my opinion. I’d hate for the club to inadvertently give the game away and prejudice its position by divulging too much information. It sounds ludicrous but we are prone to a gaffe or two, don’t forget that we sent our initial offer for Mallan to St Mirren’s version of the BBS.
Hi Mikeytyke Don't know anything about Alan Nixon, is this information likely to be true? It seems very confident in what he's stating.I could understand it if it was Leon Wobschal from the Yorkshire Post or Andy Giddings. I'm not too worried about the recruitment process at the moment and historically Bfc have been as open as the KGB.l
He’s a journalist for the S*n, @Kettlewell. In fairness to him he’s often there or thereabouts when it comes to Reds news. Far closer than many other rag journalists anyway.
Yes Kettlewell he writes for sun and posts gossip on twitter. Dunno how accurate he is. The 3 could be Grayson, Ainsworth and Hopkin
Completely agree pal - was said with slight jest. I’m actually confident the club are doing things correctly and won’t make the same mistakes we may have made in the past. Frustrating as that may be for some to have to sit tight and wait.
Could it be that the delay in naming a new manager is because it's not a case of who Barnsley want, but who wants Barnsley?
