They look the most unmotivated bunch most looking like they couldn't careless which begs the question why. The most popular option is it's all Collins fault which it maybe but what about an alternative view. The players themselves the one's in their last year I believe Williams, Kane and Cole who have seen players sold in the same contract position and this has led to this attitude ,sulking they weren't allowed to leave. Add in Styles who thinks he's too good for us even though there's little evidence it matters little how good or bad Collins is. The appointment of the dof is going to be massive, because I believe we have very little chance of achieving anything with the core of the team not wanting to be here. This closed season we have money to spend there will be a natural clear out non of them are going to sign a new contract. Do we let Collins lead a new bunch of players I'm not sure but what I would say is we need some continuity .
I think there will be a total review of the club from top to bottom. New DOF and CEO will bring in their own ideas and hopefully advise the board correctly, because whoever is advising them at the minute are making so many wrong decisions
I can’t go along with this with Kane & Williams. Both put a right shift in last night. They were constantly making off the ball runs to support Cotter last night & both especially Williams sprinted back quickly to stop counter attacks. Cole’s just Cole. Even last season some moaned he wasn’t giving his all. I think it’s his body language. You might have a point with Styles. I’d also argue he’s just not that good in central midfield.
You’d have thought if there ever a time a player was to want to step up their game it would be in the last year of their contract. The better they play the more the better offers they attract.
