...is decision making in the final third. IMO. So many games where if we'd made the right choice more often we could have had 5+ goals and we've come away with 1 or 2. It's barely a criticism when we're doing so well but I do think it needs work
When we're counter attacking is a prime example. We break rapidly with an advantage in numbers and we never seem to make the right killer decision at the end of the move and end up fizzing out the attack or losing possession. Still though, we're making so many chances that I can't really complain
Often come away from Oakwell saying we should have won by 5 or 6. Today was no different. Thankfully we rarely concede at home so it doesn’t matter.
Agree and also I’ve worked out how to capitalise on our crossing just make sure the first man is a red and we’ll win it every time .
Agree, a few times we make the wrong pass or hold the ball a little too long, people making the wrong run. It's nit picking for sure and I'm sure they do work on it.
The day we take all the right options in the final third and put our chances away we are seriously going to beat somebody seven or eight nil.
We've said this all season, because sometimes we have scored 4, but to expect us to score 4 or more in every game we dominate is asking a bit much really.
Being a bit more clinical in front of goal. Training ground practice and then more. practice don't forget there a young team doing alright.
Too many shots from outside the area when a pass to a player in a better position is the best option. As you say, when we're doing so well it's hardly a legitimate criticism and at 2-0 up it doesn't matter, but we've also done it in games where we haven't won. We played really well yesterday, the work rate and closing down was terrific, some of the passing sublime, just wish we'd be a bit cuter sometimes rather than trying to break the net from 25 yards every attack.
