Is that Thiam, Cavare, Wilks and Bähre have well and truly put an end to the notion that all young players are hard workers and will give their all.

I feel a bit for all those players if I’m honest (and maybe a bit soft!)
Thiam because there were times last season when he was excellent and a big part of the promotion. Really enjoyed seeing him adapt his game and get some success with it.
Cavare (see above) and because with a bit of Coaching and an arm round his shoulder, he can be an immense footballer.
Wilks because I think there’s a really good footballer in there but we haven’t got the time or the quality of players around him to bring him on.
Bahre because he is, by some distance, the best ‘footballer’ at the Club but has the consistency of Donald Trump and the application of Pete Doherty.
Told you I was a bit soft.

Really interesting this morning reading some of the comments about young inexperienced players having no-one to guide them. Comments made following Manchester United’s defeat at home to Burnley.

And also that all young players need is a run of games and they will always improve... (Mads)
