I didn’t really know either of my nan’s, I lost them both when I was really young, apparently I’ve got the same sense of humour as my Nan on my dads side.
Shame that mate. My Nan was my best friend when I was younger, always laughing about stuff we were... RIP Nan
I loved my nan, she's been gone since the early 80s, 40 years I used to get on the bus on a friday after school (Highgate Juniors) to their house in Thurnscoe and not get home till some time on saturday mornings.
15 years since mine passed. One of our family rituals when I was a kid / teen was going to see her and my grandad for dinner after the match on Saturdays. She was a bit of a haphazard cook, but when she was on form she was brilliant. Her beef stew and home-made chips were absolutely incredible, and she seemed to have a virtually unlimited supply of Kit-Kats in her cupboard for afters. Happy days.
