draft for players on soon, obviously i should be drawn to cheer on the superchargers but i don't see any compulsory infinity with a team here, stokes willey & rachid already in our region
think i'll see what teams are, rockets already have root & hales, should be fun quick cricket

Is there really any need for another short format game in cricket?

    50 overs 20/20.and now this.

Another nail in the coffin of test cricket.

this summers ashes proves that test cricket involving england are far from dead, not the purist but certainly entertaining

Cant get excited about drafts and the like. Enjoyed the world cup and Ashes this summer.

Sloggit cricket devoid of nuance or craft. Not for me I'm afraid.

It all seemed a bit awkward and amateurish to me and certainly not much of a TV spectacle!

Each team given a booth on a hastily erected and chaotic set which was populated for some reason with a standing studio audience of cricket groupies a la Top Gear when it was any good.

The studio goons trend always put me in mind of gorping doggers a little too keen on their subject and it really doesn’t suit cricket!

I turned it off when the draft was ignored for a discussion about the women’s hundred, there appearing to be an all things to all men/women approach driven by an unnecessary fear of appearing sexist.

Utter tosh and car crash TV which I suspect we will look back at and wince in years to come.

All that said, I love cricket of all formats and will be tuning in once the actual competition starts in earnest.

having looked at our native area pick, the yorks in super chargers are pretty ordinary in the short game cricket
southern braves look good along side trent rockets, either way, some decent laikers involved

No, I watch and enjoy that too, it was the the fact that they suddenly started a studio interview with the women when the draft was actually happening live that I found odd, especially when we’d just had a 15 minute filler looking back on the Summer highlights. It was obvious the interviewers didn’t know quite what to do.

Pitfalls of live TV I suppose.

So who wants to be a limited overs bowler?

    I'm guessing no one.

Wasn't the first player picked in the draft predominantly a bowler?
