Today Arabian Ian and Sparky made a visit to Scone Perthshire just outside Perth and paid a visit to the grave of our F.A. Cup winning captain.

It was a poster, can't remember who, but he got in touch asking if I could find out where about in Broughty Ferry Archie used to live. He informed me of his final resting place in Scone. So today while sightseeing we happened to be passing Scone cemetery and decided to look out for Archie's grave. Not a big cemetery so it didn't take long to find it. Glad you are impressed.

Very mate. Just emailed the link to my dad who doesn't use this site but is very interested in the history of the club, the 1912 side in particular. He's absolutely thrilled that someone went to the trouble of finding this.

The grave yard is on the main road under 2 miles from Perth.

BTW I think you will find that the Stone Of Scone is in Westminster after being stolen many years ago by you English scoundrels. ;)

I thought it had been returned and is now in Edinburgh castle? Or at least it was in July, unless it's a replica?

That's the original, it only visits south of the border for coronations now.

Oh maybe you could be right Merde and I'm sorry for any misinformation on my part. But the English being scoundrels bit is 100% correct. :D

I have put a photo of the grave of Arthur Fairclough on twitter @ bostonwayne. If anyone is interested in could put more on as I am trying to find where they are all buried.

... and then stolen back by you Scottish scoundrels. Actually I have an obscure family connection to that event. Nothing I'd care to share on t'internet though. I'll tell you about it over a pint when I'm up your way next, Ian.
