I wonder if this is something we'll continue to see as the games come thick and fast - Unit A of Woodrow, Victor and Chaplin and Unit B of Dike, Morris and Frieser.

    Unit A plays 60, Unit B plays 30
    Unit B plays 60, Unit A plays 30
    Etc etc.

It seems a great idea given we have 5 subs at the minute - ensures plenty of energy to press from the front for the full 90 without anyone getting ground down by the amount of games and minutes.

Whichever unit Morris and Dike's in is certainly working a treat

Think tonight also showed us that Morris is much more than just a target man
    Great touch
    Great linking of play
Ability to go past a player
    Decent pace
And most importantly a football brain
    Kieffer who !

I've thought similar myself and it seems to work a treat.

There’s also the prospect of playing different variations of Unit A and Unit B

its like COVID. When the second wave comes it seems to have more impact and do more damage even though they know whats coming its hard to stop.

I want to see that aswell but it would mean one of the units is weaker and would Woodrow and Dike work as well together as a unit as it would mean Woodrow wide and not central.

I think the its the triple substitution part of it that works rather than having a strongest unit starting

Would a unit of Odebjeyo Frieser and Chaplin change to game after 60 minutes or do enough for the first 60.

I agree. I think its about how they play as a unit and not just the 3 best players together. I think Frieser compliments the big lads with energy and pressurizing on the left. also protects us defensively with the energy level stunting their attacks. I think he is contributing now more than Chaplin when we look at the unit not the individual balance. I find it strange that Woodrow seems to be getting penalised more for fouls and offsides so maybe he is pushing on the line more against the centre halves. I guess the question is who starts in which game, but for now this model is working. I would hate to be a opposition manager trying to figure how to defend for 95 mins against us.

Think those three are our best 3 at the moment - be interesting to see. Nice problem to have

Agreed mate, plus let's trust Val to make the right decisions on line-ups and substitutions. He's got it bang on twice in 3 days :)

One things for sure opposition defenders know they have been in a game and are not strolling around at the back watching us play abart with the ball in our defensive third.
