Is thankfully alive and kicking.I'm honestly amazed at some of the over reactions on this board. All opinions are valid but how can you form your opinion on something that may or may not happen.
As for the "food chain" its always happened in football since the day a ball was kicked. We sign players from lower clubs and leave there fans upset and dissalutioned but thinking sensibly if clubs didn't have any assets how would they survive, who would pay the wages, how could they refresh their team.?
We should be proud that we have a system in action where we can identify up and coming talent, improve them to the benefit of our team and if and when the upper food chain come calling we can hopefully charge top dollar continue the cycle ,make the club financially self dependant at the same time improve our standing.Obviously this doesn't involve selling everyone at the same time which is counter productive but apart from rumours theres no indication this will happen. Before you mention Winnall,Connor and Bree we became a victim of our own success and we never had the finances to compete with the offers those players received.
So this cycle of wheeling and dealing isn't exclusive to BFC its happening at other clubs all the time and will continue while ever a ball is being kicked.
