After the first half an hour or so, I thought we were looking quite decent. Woodrow scored another superb goal and we were taking the game to Brentford. The turning point for me was Chaplin missing the sitter after being set up by Thomas. Brentford went straight down the pitch from the resulting corner and equalised. For the rest of the game there was only one team in it, in my opinion. It was simply going to be how many they would get. Very despondent and other than our goal, I can't find any positives.
If BigLil is criticising the performance it must be bad . As my infrequent supporting daughter said against Leeds, 'we look like a team of strangers'.
Never ever again will I suggest a young squad can't become good players Mr BL, but I don't think they have the time to develop enough this season to save us. Still, I have been wrong before...………...
Yes you thought we would stay up last time. Sadly i agree with you, I wouldn't want to write any of our players off (except Thiam) but once again so many young players all have to learn on the job at once is a lot to ask.
I certainly haven't the answers to solve our current problems. However, I still back our Head Coach 100% and if he's given the tools, I honestly believe he'd be a success for us in the Championship.
I don't even think Chaplins effort was on target when it hit the defender. With a bit of guile he'd have drawn him in and gone round him. Easy for me to say though We are just so fragile. We're never far from conceding, but today's goals were terrible.
Yep the turning point was their first goal which was offside when the crosser received the ball, they then started to look like a team that could play nice football and they continued to do so whereas we on the other hand went backwards losing shape and failing to keep the ball. Brown in second haif all on his lonesome ont touch line might as well have got art of rain int West Stand cos despite being in a great position in acres of space no one seemed to want to give him the ball.
We allowed a player to score the first hat trick of headers since Gestede for Blackburn in 2015. Made worse that Watkins was a total **** when he scored the first by inciting the Ponte end from the protection of the field of play.
