I think we can build on this We not short of a being a very good championship side and the mistakes the current regime have made won’t be repeated (hopefully) .
I know the premiere league is the ultimate goal but I love this league .

I've maintained a positive (some may say mindlessly optimistic) view of our prospects of staying in the Championship over the last few months but even so it's an incredible relief to see us pull it off in such spectacular fashion. I really fear for Leagues One and Two next year and staying up this time could prove to be a crucial achievement for us. Consolidating and gaining stability in the Championship next year would be amazing.

Youngest side in the league, lowest budget in the league. The lads have been amazing. Proud to be a fan.

Bang on Marlon....let's just hope the owners realise what a narrow squeak they/we have just had.

No disrespect intended to these clubs, but a Championship that includes Coventry (without a ground), Rotherham, Luton and Wycombe - surely our best chance of maintaining in the Championship.

Plenty of potential for point deductions too, given all that's gone off. Who knows, but a good opportunity for us to consolidate.

Walton, Collins, both Williams, Anderson, Halme, Diaby, Oduor, Styles, Thomas, Simoes, Brown, Chaplin etc look how old they all are & how inexperienced they are. They’re only going to get better. Keep Solbauer & Mowatt & most importantly Struber & lets go for it.

I'd still put us ahead of them. Not head-to-head obviously, proper bogey team.

I'm not sure we're close to being a "very good" Championship side. I think Brentford are a very good Championship side. We beat Brentford fair and square tonight and thoroughly deserved it, but over the course of a season I still think we'd be a fair distance behind them.

However, I think we're close to being a decent Championship side. I think we're close to being as good or better than many teams who are also quite a long way behind Brentford. If this sounds negative, it's not meant to be. In the first half of the season we were miles away from being a good Championship side. We were poor. The improvement, particularly after the lockdown when Struber had chance to work with the squad, has been stark. Being a decent Championship side wasn't something I was expecting to say about us by the end of this season, but it's very welcome to be able to do so.

It could all be easily undone again in the summer with just a couple of key player sales. History tells us that's what we'll do. Let's hope that changes.

As far as the Championship goes your right up till a couple of games ago every team in the Championship had something to play for
There really isn’t a lot between bottom an top which had been proved not only tonight but al season .
It has recently been highlighted that Hull on New Year’s Day were just outside the playoffs .
As much as it gives me palpitations to the onlooker it’s a fantastic league.

Like I said in the post I’ve just posted. With 6 games to go, the bottom 5 clubs in the league, not one of them went down. Huddersfield, Middlesbrough, Stoke, Luton and Us. How can anyone not love this division?

It’s a mental sport. Us & Luton again, it doesn’t seem 2 minutes since almost everyone was convinced it was Pompey & Sunderland going up instead of us two

I think the board have got away with this to be honest.

Nobody expected this and I'd be surprised if they did.

Hopefully it's not a total rebuild, and the long contracts now work for us.

Next season will define totally what they are.

And they must surely know this now...

You got away with it, dont fak it up now

Hopefully we can build on this. Young players who are improving, mostly with time on their contracts.

We’ll sell one or two but hopefully there’s been lessons learned and we can push on!
