thats the word to describe us. They play for each other. We can slot players in and out and carry someone having an off day because there is always someone to bail em out. Today - i noticed Roberts was told to stay back in defence and not venture forward for the long throws - and after corners etc he was sprinting back to defence to take up his position again - all to help Angus bed in and have a good game. We lost a quality player in Mawson and also Bree so big changes at the back. We looked very strong - Yiadom had an excellent game. Roberts was my MOM following by Hourihane and Yiadom. I am really nervous about bids for Roberts and Hourihane if im honest. Losing those two could really burst our bubble. I want to see us strengthen now - not get weaker. Who knows how long this run will last. We could have been sitting pretty at the top of the table now had Payne stuck that chance away at Hudds. Not moaning at the lad but just shows how well we are doing. Long may it continue.
I was thinking this earlier myself, but surely Hecky and the higher ups will not sell because they know how valuable they are. Especially now Mawson is gone; I cant see us being in the hunt for 3 CB's. As for Hourihane unless stupid money is involved it would be better if he went on a free next season after running his contract down.
Couldn't bear to lose Conor, it would be a nightmare, he is immense and really does lead our team as a true captain.
