After the way things ( ourselves included) have conspired against us surely the law of averages says it must turn our way sometime. Course knowing our luck it won’t be ‘till it’s too late for this season!
It's definitely a factor. Luck simply hasn't gone our way. But the usual law of top sides getting all the breaks and refereeing decisions, whilst the teams at the bottom get nothing still holds true. I remember watching the game at Walsall last season where the ref seemed to favour Barnsley throughout and Walsall got nothing. In the Championship Barnsley get nothing.
I always thought that you make your own luck, but last night nothing went for us. They were lucky the ball didn’t cross the line and doubly lucky that Sollbauer got an unlucky connection for their goal. The ball didn’t run for us in their box and we battered them. Yes, I think we are due some luck.
Thiam still believes in us. Edit: not the real Thiam, sorry. It was the real Diaby and Thomas who liked it though.
The Walsall game reminded me of the game last night, with us in the Leeds role and Walsall the Barnsley role. Walsall battered us that game, wasted numerous chances, but we took ours and ended up going up and them going down.
Wouldn't have minded Thiam on the end of one of those chances yesterday. Yes he wasn't great, but had a better end product than Thomas or Ritzthingy.
Teams at the bottom don't get the 'luck' because theyre generally crappier than other teams and so they don't make their own...BFC are where they deserve to be and luck has nothing to do with it
That isn't Mamadou Thiam's twitter account. It's obviously some sad twât with little better to do with their life. https://twitter.com/mamiinho933 - that's the real Mama. Quite possibly the most well-mannered bloke I've ever met. Win, lose or draw, an absolute pleasure to meet and be around. Never swore once around me, very religious and always so positive. But a little like Dale Jennings. Talented, but not got the sort of attitude needed to deliver. Transplant Mowatt's attitude into him, and you've a Premier League player. I'll not hear a bad word about Mama, because in L1 he was key to lots of our good work. Some lads aren't quite good enough for different reasons. But yeah. That twitter account isn't his.
The bogus account only had one digit missing from the username, so looked authentic at a glance. It has now been suspended.
