Interesting article but all this FFP business when applied to different clubs is more complex than it looks initially. The last part of the article where the whole FFP rules are discussed is pertinent. They need to refocus on the whole bag o mashings.
It’s ok Moaning its the club , fans etc that suffers with a points deduction but it’s clubs fans of other clubs that suffer if they don’t . Cheating is Cheating and if you have played games with players you can’t afford then you have gained an unfair advantage and points taken with these players then should come under scrutiny . Yes by all means punish the owners personally as much as possible but the unfair advantage must also be addressed .
We then get the fans saying " yea but its not us or the players....its the owners or previous owners!!" Aaaaaand the all the all time classic " well the EFL/FA said it was ok!!!!" So its them who are guilty not us etc etc.
The author of this article is Rod Liddle, he like his fellow columnist at the Sunday Times, Jeremy Clarkson, is a self opinionated bigot. That said on this issue he is wholeheartedly correct.
