So they battered us when they were crap, so what’s it going to be like now they are decent? Don’t forget they have the best keeper in the Championship...
Can’t see anything other than us getting beat tomorrow. They outmuscled us last time and nothings changed this season.
We've never done well against physical sides - we seem to look like schoolboys against sides like Stoke. Not being 2 down inside first 10 minutes will be a bonus
They are probably going to be without Tyrese Campbell and Nick Powell, arguably two of their more influential players. Both were subbed on Saturday after picking up knocks. Looks as though Davies will keep goal now Butland has gone to Crystal Palace. I wonder if when he moved to them, we had a clause inserted stating that Jacob Brown can't play against us, in both the home and away fixtures.?
Agree Ik 311, I was responding to Donks posting re-" don't forget they have the best keeper in the Championship." Rightly or wrongly, I assumed he was referring to Butland, because as much as I like Adam Davies, I don't think he's the best keeper in the league, plus it's not a nailed on certainty that Davies will be between the sticks tomorrow as they have signed Southamptons 24 year old reserve keeper Angus Gunn on loan and he could well get the nod.
No way. The only time you can do that is if on loan. Still your player. But some do not always insist on that clause. As we found out to our detriment against Grimsby away 2004 (if my memory serves me right.) . Isiah Rankine . Got right proper dogs abuse. ( having scored and we lost 6-1) And showed his contempt for us. TBF I believe our manager at the time didn’t rate him. But for me was better than some of the options we had open to us.
I genuinely would rather have Walton than Davies between the sticks. As I think he has more all round ability.
And what do you think of Walton’s performances since he established himself in the side. Genuine question. His performances on the whole have been outstanding. Probably the most influential player that kept us up.
