Gone to play in turkey, loan with a view to perminant according to sky " MALLAN CLOSES IN ON TURKEY SWITCH Hibernian midfielder Stevie Mallan is in Turkey to finalise a loan deal with Yeni Malatyaspor which will include an option to buy. Super Lig team Yeni Malatyaspor have been in contact with Hibs over a loan move. Mallan has scored 4 times in 21 appearances this season but has failed to nail down a regular starting place in Jack Ross' team."
He’s not that popular with Hibs fans. After not playing him here Hecky was getting stick for playing him too much at Hibs. Apparently he was pretty useless apart from taking set pieces.
That would put him one step ahead of what we've seen from Herbie Kane so far! (though I still have high hopes that Herbie will come good)
Very little apart from one shot off target has suggested to me he will come good. Supposedly good at set pieces, and quality when on the ball. Not seen anything to back this up. Palmer looks a far better option.
I'm going to try and defend Kane here. He might benefit from more regular game time. He's made 20 appearances for us, but I bet he's started no more than 5 times. Prior to that, he only played 3 times post lockdown for Hull (scoring twice). With Palmer also in and out of the side due to injuries, it might be worth sticking with Herbie and seeing what happens. I feel we're in a position to give him a run of games. He was good at Doncaster a couple of seasons ago, and I don't think he's become a bad player over night.
That's pretty much my take on it. On recent evidence recruitment team clearly know very much what they're doing. We wouldn't have spent over a million on a player if people that know a lot more about football than we do weren't confident that he could do a good job at Championship level.
He is. He's also the one who looked a real talent on youtube. I was really excited to see him play. I never did. Hecky didn't believe in Eskimo's.
