A few weeks ago a driver told me about a ticket called "5 for a fiver".I'd never heard of it. If you're like me and use a bus even if its one return journey in Barnsley it's worth getting. The way it works is,you can use 5 for a fiver for any trip within the Barnsley bus services. It's for a minimum of 2 passengers up to 5.For example if you buy one on a Saturday you can use it all day long as many times as you want. I got one this morning to take me and the wife for our flu jabs. This involved bus in to town another bus to our Doctors surgery and return. We'll use it again tonight when we go out for a drink. Normally todays journeys would have cost £22.50 and we get them all for £5. They're only available from Friday around 5,o clock, all day Saturday ,Sunday and bank holidays and you can only use the ticket for the day of purchase. Sorry it's not a football thread but it might be of some use to frequent weekend bus uses.
There are some good deals particularly if you are a regular user. A Day rider is about £3, £4 or £5 depending where you going to, use it as many times in a day as you want. The South Yorkshire plus is about £5 and you can bus, tram and train.
