Kane must really regret signing that long contract, shouldn't have employed his numpty brother as his agent.

We haven't been like that in a long time! Spurs are definitely an embarrassment, not the actual club itself really, because 4th for Spurs would be a great season tbf (despite the horrendous football they play). But because of their fans. Did you see how many of them were claiming they had 'won' the transfer window? Haha. They're almost a whappy as Arsenal this season, but at least Arsenal have something to shout about up to press!

Can see you had a good weekend. You were captured with your shirt off at Wycombe spending some of your Cheltenham winnings on going to the game.

Club won't like that. But he is right to be fair. They're massive 'bottle jobs'. He's won at every club he's been at, like Mourinho, and yet he's been Spurs'd, like Mourinho. They have some exceptional talent, but it's combined with absolute dross. However, it's his job to get the mentality of those players right, to keep them composed & concentrated. I don't think he was ever the right appointment in the first place with the players already there, with the expansive attacking talent they potential have, although you'd expect they'd be lethal on the counter but apparently that only happens against Man City.

Dier, Davies, Perisic, Royal, Lenglet, Moura, Sanchez and so many others just aren't good enough to be champions league players. Majority of them don't seem to have a winning mentality, so couple that with their manager popping off at them every week, will just make them worse, especially considering the fans are on their backs. It's quite amusing listening to Spurs fans on talksport, half of them blame Conte, then other half phone up saying they're wrong and it's Levy's fault, and the trend continues. Conte doesn't do 'projects', he goes to big clubs with big players & lots of money and basically guaranteed to win something, unfortunately that won't happen at Spurs.

Great potential with the right owner. Levy isn't that man.

It's a hard one, because they all applauded him when he's playing hardball with their world class talent, i.e Kane. And they have certainly spent money the past few years. Is it going to get to a point where fans at elite clubs won't be happy unless they have billionaire American owners or state-backed Qatari/Saudi money?

Honestly he does take a lot of the blame, because Mourinho/Nuno Santos/Conte all play similar football, which is completely opposite to Poch who was relatively successful by Spurs' standards (getting to the champions league final was a fantastic achievement), he was playing good football, some good young talents, etc. Levy has basically thrown all that in the bin with his last 3 appointments, it's just weird. Especially since he sacked Mourinho the day before the league cup final.

Spurs are above where they should be.

City, United, Chelsea, Liverpool & Arsenal all have better squads than they do. Luckily for Spurs through a combination of bad management at some of the others & good management at their club they’ve been able to regularly get top 4 in spite of this.

Poch overachieved getting them to a champions league final & it’s made many of them think they’re better than they are.

However I get why fans are annoyed. The performance in the champions league against Milan was crap & the decision to play a B team & get knocked out of the FA Cup against a heavily rotated Sheff Utd side when it was realistically the only trophy they could win was crazy & a sackable offence on it’s own.

Football’s about winning trophy’s not qualifying for a tournament you aren’t going to win. When you’ve had a top 6 squad for the last 15 years you should be winning a domestic trophy or even getting to a couple of finals.

This is why I no longer have any interest in English football. Teams play for money not trophies. There are no longer any deserved winners of the FA Cup. The team that wins it does so by a combination of getting away with fielding weaker teams while facing a succession of teams who aren't taking it seriously either or by NOT facing what should be strong teams who have already thrown their chance by putting out a team of reserves.
Clubs outside the big six battling to get into Europa League spots at the expense of actually trying to win a domestic competition to then qualify for Europe and then not take that seriously because they don't want to risk losing league games and getting relegated from the greed league.
    It's a farce.

Agree, I was listening to 606 the other week & they were asking Newcastle fans whether they’d like to win the league cup or qualify for the champions league. In fairness every fan said to win the cup but it shows how out of touch people involved in football are with real fans.

Same with Newcastle when you had Rio Ferdinand & other pundits defending Mike Ashley as ‘he kept them in the league’ as if that should be their only ambition when he encouraged his managers to play weakened teams in the cups offering no bonuses for winning cup games but offering bonuses for staying up.

They did over achieve in that run for sure. But his squad at the time was fantastic - Poch/Spurs definitely under achieved by winning absolutely nothing with the players there. Albeit that could also be down to not taking any cups seriously and only focusing on getting top 4.

If they added every transfer window to that squad bit by bit, properly, instead of just letting it age out and actually get a manager who suited spurs, I.e not defensive minded managers like Mourinho, Nuno & Conte, they really could have gone on to do something really decent. Of course Levy will point to the off field expenses, but I can definitely see why Spurs fans aren't happy with him, but Conte does need a lot of the blame too
