    That was strange... VAR confirmed instantly German goal was OK then a few seconds later they ruled offside. (It was clearly offside on the TV freeze frame) Makes a change from the 5 minutes of deliberation they usually need.

    I think the initial VAR message was they were checking rather than the goal was ok but it was refreshingly quick. Mind you it wasn’t close

    That Japan loss earlier meant Germany weren't out yet, even if they had lost this game.
    And if they had hit back to win this game, it would have served Spain right. All to play for!.

    Yeah Japan lose to Spain and Germany beat Costa Rica they progress. Japan need a point to progress and hope Germany don't batter Costa Rica like the Spanish did. It's Spain and Germany the spawny c nu ts.

    Costa Rica have been rubbish, but somehow they beat Japan. Hopefully that will mean they won't make it easy for Germany, it could all go down to the last kick or even the last dive lol.
