No, and I’m not cheering on the death of Prince Phillip either, but I can understand why some people don’t like symbols of empire and military oppression as they would see it, and if they want to express their displeasure at the very real historical injustices served upon the Irish then so be it. Just like I can fully understand people celebrating the death of thatcher while others deem her some kind of hero, as I say, no one holds the truth on these matters, facts can’t be disputed but their interpretations aren’t the preserve of your prejudices.
