Jesus, why do we have to put up with these morons. I hope it's true that 2 or 3 of them got what they deserved. I'd have cheered had I seen it. My decision to stop away games some time ago continues to look like the right one.
Seems to me the reading fans were milling around the Barnsley fans buses so how come you blaming the reds fans ?
Twice at away games I've come close to a scrap. Both times have been with knobhead tarn fans. We get some right tw*ts following us away
The stuff filmed in the ground wouldn't reflect well on Reading fans if filmed the other way. There's clearly plenty of goading going on, which isn't once referred to in this one-sided piece. That doesn't exonerate our lot though.
I wasn't there. So I could be well wide of the mark. It could all be down to Reading fans. I don't find it hard to believe that some of our fans were their usual moronic selves though. That's the reputation we have.
Surprised at that, Reading are about the most bland, nothing club in the entire world - mist be trying to get rid of that label.
The video shows absolutely no trouble whatsoever between fans. Stewards pushing a few Reading fans about. Tarn fans not involved.
Never felt like we've got a reputation when I travel away. As someone who mixes with the locals on away trips I've had drinks bought for me, lifts to the ground and never anything but good natured conversation wherever I've been. Not trying to argue we haven't got some nob heads, like most clubs we have, but never encountered anything but friendliness when people learn I'm from Barnsley.
Due to commitments I tend to go to more away games than home games and have been all over the country for quite a few years and like you have mixed with locals including watching games in the home ends, generally speaking what I see is some shouting about making gestures but overall very little trouble.
Tbh all I saw was a few of their cheeky posh boy twelve year olds goading some of our less savoury fourteen year olds with some stewards milling around aimlessly in between. The only thoughts that came into my head were 'they'll all be back to school on Monday'. Had any proper misters from either side got involved I suspect that there would have been several adolescent attempts on the world land speed record!
Spot on, interestingly this sort of behaviour is on the rise around the country and it all seems to stem round people how you describe it.
Kids, Morons, Idiots, and Adults that just aint grown up yet, If by any chance your one of these fooookin louts and you fink ya hard, believe me your not. Grow the Foook up
It's absolutely Mickey Mouse stuff compared to what Stoke will be next month with their fans looking for blood after the McClean stuff, which will be doubly bad at full time if we win.
To be balanced here I am currently working with a few Stoke fans and they support him as their player but they don't like his views on remembrance or the way he conducted himself at Oakwell. I'm sure there will be some idiots who fancy kicking off and use it as an excuse but that is exactly what it will be - an excuse not a reason.
