What the FOOK (Nudger style) is the point? You know F all. I know F all. Fred Bloggs knows F all (and he's usually right). As for ''why dont we do this.....?' It's utter ********. I know I talk ******** but I wish others would realise they are talking ******** and shut up...Sorry for rant May your God go with you.....
Forums are always better when it's doom and gloom... If you stopped people talking b'ollocks then you may aswell close the forum down .
I too await further clarification before nailing my colours to the mast, I don’t want to believe he was sacked purely on the back of a few bad results and his bit of whining post-match. Others appear to want that scenario, although why they do is unclear as it makes it grim for us supporters if that’s the case.
I’m not bothered either way about the owners but this whole episode has been handled poorly and quite frankly stinks.
You definitely needed to make a second thread saying this! Excellent content that puts everyone in the shade, friend.
Im on mute at the minute. I accept this is a sensitive time. I'm taking time to rediscover my mojo and agree with everyone else and what they have to say. When i'm conforming again hopefully I'll be a reasoned poster again.
I think it speaks volumes when posters who are usually very positive and balanced have totally condemned what's gone on. Not only that but news outlets and other teams' fans have noted the blunt statement they put out. If you are happy for the club to conduct business like this then good for you.
I think you’ve misunderstood my point, I have already said to people like Goldthorpe his change is one of the most worrying thing to happen etc, I’m talking about others who take every opportunity to knock. It’s no coincidence some of these have posted more in the last 2 weeks than the past 2 years. In terms of the released statement, I’ve also said it will be a holding statement which is standard practice, it is also a default action whilst legalities are going on behind the scenes. Lastly, i have also said if they don’t release some thing later I would agree with the criticism.
That statement was the final straw for me. There is no way the PR team/media guys would use that. In my opinion that statement has come from high up the BFC food chain.
i am not sure that's the case yes people are speculating why he left. i believe the wording of the statement or sentence and a half is very important. some people believe someones just walked in the office and thrown it out there as the first think they could think off. i wont have been it will have had to be checked probably by multiple different legal personal probably on this end and in the US where they are based and there is a limitless suing culture. The word separation has been used deliberately and is a kind of american thing to say just like the wording of this sentence. And the meaning will be as in a marriage or partnership break up irreconcilable differences between both parties no fault of each parties.
Of course the people who are skeptical of the owners are likely to speak up when this happens. As for the statement being temporary, it has been there for 24 hours, they sacked him in the afternoon of the day prior- how much time do you reckon they need? The damage has already been done. Only yourself from what I have seen thinks it is remotely acceptable. If it was a holding statement, then add a sentence at the end informing fans they'll be a further update in due course with further information.
Well when it happened to me it took 3 months for the legalities to be resolved. Once they were the company released a new statement. There are others who have agreed but I agree the most vociferous are the ones who don’t understand the process Edit * mine was an internal statement
Exactly, it is a very carefully worded statement to apply no blame and a mutually agreeable one will be released at a later date
I'd agree with all that. However..... "We appreciate the concern of the supporters at this moment in time and assure them that we will furnish further information as soon as is reasonably possible. In the meantime please be assured we have the best interests of the club at heart and our commitment to the club remains wholehearted." could have easily been tacked on to the end.
If you honestly believe that football clubs tend to release a 4 line statement more than 18 hours after sacking their manager, and for it to still be there 24 hours afterwards with no further comment whatsoever.... sorry but no, it is not standard practice at all. The media has picked up on this which also indicates this isn't the norm.
