I'm not blaming him that we lost reading look a decent well organised side. But the pen probley should have been a pen I'll give him that. Their 1st goal a clear foul in the build up. Then just before half time he saw a stamp from one of their lads all around me are thinking that's off. No yellow card. Not to mention all the 50/50s he gives against us he then gives their goalkeeper the green light to time waste for 45 minutes. Well done can we not complain about these clowns to the F.A we seem to get them on a regular basis.
I don't think he booked him for the stamp, he didn't see it. I think it was verbal abuse after their player chased him for 20 yards mouthing.
The FA will not accept that there is a problem with poor refereeing standards. The yellow card for a stamp was ridiculous.
Still doesn't stop teams getting robbed in rugby league though. Admittedly it helps but hasn't stopped it.
Thought he generally did well. No complaints with the pen, dealt with the sending off properly and added on both halfs adequate injury time (4 and 5 minutes) for the time wasting Ali Al Habsi did.
Genuine question - has that six second rule been done away with? or has it been changed to a sixty second rule? Amazed that El-Habsi wasn't booked twice before half-time and they should have had no more than eight on at the end given the cowardly stamp. At least ten minutes should have been added on at the end. Five minutes following a goal and six subs was an insult to us all - it basically says there was 90 seconds time-wasting in total. There was 45 seconds time-wasting every time El-Habsi had the ball! Fair play to Reading though, they had the best two players on the pitch today - McLeary until his assault and the ref after it.
