George Williams. He's exactly what we're crying out for. Brilliant tackler, can play LB or RB & puts in 150% every game. There's a mutual love with the fans and club.

Don't imagine he'd cost too much. I'm sure if the club showed George he was appreciated we could persuade him to come back.

Come on, it'd only be like West Ham re-signing Carlton Cole after releasing him or when Sam Patterson came back to the club.

There's nothing wrong with putting your hands up and saying you've made a mistake. Lets just swallow our pride and bring back the best full back since Sir Bobby.

He is under contract at MK Dons where he incidentally can't get a game.

Karl Robinsons a clueless ******, Willo is the best defender in League 1 by far.

Are you his agent? Williams did very well for us towards the end of the season but "best defender in League 1 by far" may be a tad over the top don't you reckon?

Another example of doing a u-turn was when we released Nicky Eaden only to re-sign him a short time later. He went on to be a great right wing back after that.

I still can't buy that he was released because we couldn't guarantee him first team football, gotta be somet else to it.
White was back fit during last few games of the season but Williams was still in front of him in side.

I was completely baffled when we let Williams go. He was our most consistent player in the final few months of the season. Pivotal to our promotion and part of both sides which won at Wembley. He was exactly the sort of player we've built the club around, young, improving and with resale potential.

I agree that letting him go in hindsight might prove to be a bad move. But I trust the powers that be to recruit someone who will do a job for this club. Aidy White has had a good start to the season and Callum Evans is waiting in the wings (albeit he might be injured).

I think it's time to move on from the whole George Williams thing. We let him leave to get first team football, which we still can't guarantee him here. The fact that he can't get it at MK Dons is completely irrelevant and sadly not our issue. He won't be returning. Although he's one of the few former players who's career I will look forward to seeing develop in the future.

Me too, I thought his contribution was one of the major reasons for the turn round in the second half of the season.

Jesus, I actually wish we would get him back, just so this would all stop. He was a limited full back at league one level who gave his all and did a job for us. Loved him for it but come on, he'd have been completely out his depth at this level and he cant even get a game at MK Dons these days.
