I heard "4 more years" at one point and something about Biden being a commy which just shows how far right these people are if they think Joe Bidens a communist. The red neck in chief was lapping it up in his limo as he drove through. It wouldn't be a surprise to me if there was some sort of coup attempt by Trump and his mob he seems drunk on the power and desperate to hang on to power to avoid multiple charges waiting to be brought against him by the DA in New York once he's no longer President. The next few weeks could be pretty bumpy in the US.

Trump has been preparing the way for these brain-dead zombies to take to the streets with automatic weapons for months now with his constant baseless tweets about election fraud. Even some vaguely intelligent and normal looking people are beginning to believe him. I fear the worst.

According to some of those interviewed at the rally the election fraud is not baseless and the evidence is overwhelming. It shouldn't be long before the truth emerges.

hey it sounds like they are quoting our Faddidge - he made the same allegation in a TV interview about the overwhelming evidence. When the interviewer asked him what the evidence was it was according to the lovely person too early for it to have emerged yet. Cant be bothered to find the clip again but it was hilarious when the interviewer picked him up on such an obvious contradiction

I'm actually cautiously optimistic that the penny is starting to drop and the belief in the fraud claims is receding. There will always be a percentage of the thick and bigoted but I saw a poll yesterday showing an 80 odd percent belief the elections were fair.
I think people are seeing day after day the lack of specific evidence and one lawsuit after another being thrown out plus widespread statements that it was a totally clean election by Republican states committees.
Trump is looking and sounding resigned to the outcome.
What truly disgusts me though is his continued refusal to implore his supporters to wear masks or socially distance. This man genuinely has blood on his hands.

Or, as been reported this morning, to stop stabbing people and stop hospitalising police officers.

what is your genuine opinion of this interaction, don't know the context of why BLM are sat next to old man, but be interesting to see who thinks who comes out best, seems to me there will never be common ground

I suspect he will begrudgingly admit that he will no longer be the president beyond the 20 Jan down the middle of this week. He won’t say that Biden Won or that he lost and it certainly will not involve a phone call to the President Elect. Most likely it will come with a further dose of the election “having been stolen” theme.

Thanks for that Red. Respect to the guy. A great watch ARKANSAS Bill 3. Sheds another light on perception on all termed Rednecks. (For reference certainly a derogatory term more than I’d say racist. on a similar theme to calling Irish, Micks) I’d rather chat with him than the lass on the sidewalk. She cares about BLM, but not a good debater.

Australian news are very unbiased, looks like some of those supporters on both sides might have regretted staying out in the dark, looked very scary

From what I’ve seen online the violence seems to have stemmed from the US left on this with zero arrests during the day and then violence at night.

Also, just one example, in North California town Walnut Creek, BLM/Antifa stormed a bar, smashed up tables, burnt an American flag, and kicked someone in the head. You won’t see that on the media anyway though, but it happened as I personally know someone who was there and I’ve seen the video on the ‘Nextdoor’ App.

When people talk about the state the US is in there has to be an acknowledgement that behaviour on both sides is truly shocking.

You do realise that one side is trying to undermine democracy and the results of a legitimate election? It's not really appropriate to go "ah it's just six of one and half a dozen of the other" by comparing it to one incident where someone apparently got kicked in the head (although the coverage I've seen shows a bit of handbags - someone throwing a burning flag back at one the protesters and getting pushed over as a result)

Gun ownership is the scary thing for me. Republicans own at least twice more than democrats.

Who mentioned the election? Violence is shocking regardless of what’s going on. Who said anything about dismissing it as six of one and half a dozen of the other? I’m just pointing out the refusal from so many people to even acknowledge that there’s two sides behaving poorly.

The incident you’re talking back at me on is basically 200 yards from where I ‘live’. I also mentioned I knew someone who was actually there. But it’s ok, you’ve seen a video and have a better opinion on it than me. Seriously mate, you’ve not even condoned it in your reply which backs up my comment above.

It's a thread about election protests. You do an awful lot to try and point the finger at the left or support Trump without actually saying it and pretending you're "balanced". I suppose one thing I'll give the Trump protestors is that they are at least forthright about their position.

By condoned I presume you mean condemned - from what I've seen there wasn't a great deal to condemn. Of course pushing people over is wrong, but so is chucking a flaming flag at someone. And of course I'll trust a video over a third hand hearsay account, why wouldn't I?

Gun ownership is scary to me too. But of course it should be to us as it’s so culturally out of our comfort zone. I don’t think the ownership by party means anything though does it? Unless I’m missing something

You do an awful lot of replying to almost everything I say, in a way more feisty tone than I portray, trying to belittle me as some Trump supporter to score points when I’m way more balanced. Criticise where needed. Offer a different view where I see it. And offer a genuine view of the US compared to the majority. I’m not sure why that’s a negative to you? Certainly not a negative to me, and definitely not something I would get upset about.

I did mean condemned (sorry - sun got in my eyes). The flaming flag was started by the people who just randomly turned up at a bar, disrupted someone’s dinner, smashed their glasses, shouted obscenities, and all in the name of what? You don’t think there’s anything to condemn there and that’s perfectly acceptable behaviour?
