With all of the easing of lockdown and the demonstrations that have been going on around the country many experts have been predicting localised second waves. What will it tell us about this virus if there isn’t one?

It will tell us that prevalence is very low and there is far less transmission outdoors.

Let’s hope that’s the outcome. Fingers crossed....

It will show large gatherings could happen for the start of next season. You couldn't go from social distancing to large gatherings in one go though, so I would hope by August we are in a position to test no social distancing. It would help the economy no end.

Second wave accelerating in Iran, A virus outbreak in a wholesale market in Beijing leads to fears of a second wave in the Chinese capital, Brazil swamped by 41,000 deaths with little lockdown control in place, half of the USA want to end restrictions and many refuse to comply, 100,000 dead already. Airlines want to end all self isolating, though to me that's locking the stable door.
If I was a betting man I would wager there will be a second wave, but this time a lock down will be widely ignored

Surely if the Government are willing to allow protests and gatherings in general like we are seeing, it can allow Football matches to have some fans, even if it was limited to Home or even Season ticket holders only.

The NHS are currently planning for a 2nd wave in Sept/Oct then mixed in with the usual cold/flu season once we get into winter time.

We are only really still in the first phases of dealing with this pandemic.
