https://www.bcfc.com/news/mens/club-statement-lee-bowyer That club have made some baffling managerial decisions in the past decade and this is right up there. You get shut back in May surely? You don't sack a boss during pre season. Watford wouldn't even do that.
There's been rumours for 3 months that Birmingham wanted rid of him. Timing a bit bizarre as you'd have thought he'd have gone straight after the final game of last season. I'd imagine they'll have someone else lined up to come straight in.
Probably to do with potential new ownership. That Laurence Bassini seems a shady character and the opposite of what Birmingham need. He was very cagey when asked on Talksport if Bowyer would stay in position (if the takeover goes through).
For a club of their size, they have been stagnating and going nowhere for too long now. And a lot of their fans were honest enough to admit last season, that they only stayed up because of two other teams having points deducted. So Bowyer can't complain can he, maybe Charlton will have him back lol.
Bowyer is a nasty piece of work. I really don't see Birmingham turning the boat around anytime soon TBH. Horrible club that has achieved little in their history, given their potential fan base. Poor relations to Villa & Wolves.
Yeah exactly, they are the ultimate under achieving club aren't they, given their size of the city and number of fans etc. 'Keep right on..' (which is what their fans sing), ohh please!!.
Horrible club with a large contingent of awful fans No idea how they have escaped relegation in the last 5 years or so
