It's an important three points, that's what today was all about. We wanted to win the game, to perform in the right way, and I felt we did that.

"They were difficult conditions, I'm not sure the pitch has been cut for some time. It was very bobbly and the grass was very long, not that I would have been here using that as an excuse had the result gone the other way.

"We had bits of quality, we managed to get our nose in front - they had their moments, but it was a good three points.

"We got ourselves in some very good positions and we just didn't manage to get the second - this team is a two-goal ahead from it being four or five."

Cant say i noticed the grass being too long, then again im upper east.

They've been letting it grow in recent weeks, to give spectators something more entertaining to watch than the football.

Maybe we’ve cut the groundsman’s hours to save a few more bob.

I think he's trying to say "I believe if we had scored a second the team would have relaxed and gone on to score further goals." But his brain got tangled up in his mouth.

Or "If we'd scored the second they'd have crumbled and let us walk all over em"
