AKA another crooked Tory *******, like many before him he's only interested in feathering his own nest. Just like in the 90s all the Tory sleaze is coming to the surface and at last the media is starting to dig deeper into the bent brigade that is the Tory party.
It’s a pity they’ve waited while Labour lurched spectacularly to the right. It’s almost like they know what they’re doing.
When they got shut of anyone who wouldn’t dance to Johnson’s tune they seemingly moved their standards even lower than they usually were, leading to a load of people getting elected to the House who shouldn’t be anywhere near Parliament. Exhibit A: Jonathan Gullis. My case rests.
This is the same MP that has applied to the CONservative party system to get himself a safe seat at the next election.. Not interested in their constituents, self serving w@nker$
As I have posted on here before, there is no qualification necessary to end up being an MP. And thus running and probably ruining our lives. No modicum of sense or intelligence, respect for or consideration of the electorate is required. Thus do you end up with idiots chancers crooks exhibitionists extremists and general ne'er do wells deciding our fate. I could use exhibits but I'd run out of letters before I'd finished.
I can't believe that according to the BBC despite him offering to leak confidential papers for money and to lobby government in exchange for cash that "no rules were broken"
Yes. I posted Keir Starmers Voting record last week for you, and then a graph on whether he was left wing or right wing in statements he has made. You ignored them and now you are back claiming, without evidence that Labour have gone full on Suella Braverman and are right wing.
Do Starmers voting record without being a member of a genuinely centre left party i.e post Corbyn. Mainly abstention though support for a hard Brexit. Starmer is more David Cameron than Suella. He is pretty indistinct from Sunak (economically similar probably to the right on social issues) Labours main problem is that they lack any direction other than copying the tories. Decent article here https://amp.theguardian.com/comment...starmer-his-party-remains-a-mystery-to-voters
Evidence? Literally everything he has said in the last year has been demonstrably right wing. And as for his voting record he’s spent very recent times abstaining while this government put through some of the most callous, inhumane legislation of modern times. It doesn’t actually matter. Me and you probably see the world a little differently. That’s fine, we’re both allowed. Just don’t pretend it’s something else that’s all. To return to the point. Tory MP’s were just as bent and sleazy when Corbyn was LOTO. Yet, nothing. They’re doing the work now because Starmer is part of the same establishment. He won’t ruffle any feathers by, I don’t know, making them pay a bit of tax or whatever. A Starmer government will be business as usual for said establishment, so he gets a fair shake. Again, not a problem to be ok with that. That’s democracy.
No difference on say immigration https://www.thenational.scot/news/2...-little-difference-immigration-labour-tories/
No difference on the EU / impact of FoM https://inews.co.uk/opinion/keir-st...tion-and-risks-embarrassing-his-party-1989482 Cakeism. https://amp.theguardian.com/politic...mer-rules-out-return-free-movement-britain-eu
It’s not right wing to suggest that we have a points based system for immigration, considering we have now left the EU and free movement is a thing of the past. Unsurprisingly the commentary you have posted is from an SNP backing news paper who want to be back in the EU and are using that to garner the independence vote. There would be however fundamental differences between the parties on asylum which is a left vs right argument.
I can’t read the inews link as it’s behind a paywall. Again, and I’ve gone through this numerous times. I’m an remainer and want us to go back, but it’s risky at this point to get drawn into the brexit debate for Labour. Whether we like it or not, lots of people who left Labour in the red wall are working class racists and if Labour want to win, they need them back. They can’t alienate them again. Have Labour moved to the centre ground, yes, but they definitely haven’t gone anywhere near the right.
