With the threat of losing Cauley and no signs of any additions, given that Bristol City sit at the very top of the table with four straight wins, before today's activity in the market, earlier this week, I was honestly dreading tomorrow's fixture. It looked inevitable, that we could possibly be looking down the barrel of a two or three nil loss. Tomorrow's result hinges on where Murray starts Cauley and whether Brittain , Kane and James also play. If they do, we could well force a draw and who knows, might even just shade it with a much needed win. If he does play our two new acquisitions, who do we think will be sacrificed re- Mowatt or Styles.? Given that the Club would like to extend Mowatts deal, I regrettably feel they might put young Styles on the bench, which would hardly seem fair, because even though we've not been getting the right results, after four games, he's been one of our most consistent performers.
James definitely won’t start I don’t think. Kane could feature because we so desperately need a right foot in midfield. I think the team and the system will be relatively the same. Where it will differ is I think we’ll try and get the ball forward much, much quicker and play with a lot more width. He might play a front three without shoehorning the Number 10 role in there. Like Boro away in the cup.
lol, I like it! Hoping for goals and then put a prediction that is still less than the conceived average for a football game (circa 2.5-2.6) I guess 2 goals in a game would be a lot for us. We've only had 1 so far in 2 games this season! NB - The last 4 games at Oakwell involving Bristol City have been 2 - 2 draws. So it won't be 2 - 2 again, would it?
Considering the discrepancies in the two teams' start so far, 17/10 for Bristol to win is massive. Murray is in charge, and the new lads have had no time to assimilate - even if they start.
1-0. Sollbauer header from a corner in the first minute followed by 90-odd minutes of goal-line clearances and wonder saves from Jack....
Can't see us getting anything other that nil, even in a fixture that has produced lots of goals in recent times, usually 2-2. We haven't got any creativity. Hoping we can also keep them down to nil.
There is no way we will score 2 goals but this fixture always finishes 2-2. No idea how we will get there but that will be the final score
The last 4 home games have been 2-2 with Bristol C. It won't be 2-2 today. Impossible. You heard it here first
We're always on a crap run not knowing where or when next goal or point will come from when we play them too.
