I guess it was a case of staying up rather than going down and coming back up, but this all feels too familiar... Utter f*cking charlatans. I'd love to know what Whitey's thoughts would be if he wasn't a company man now.
However many fans might defend the owners, what no one can deny is that we'd be better off being fan owned. We still don't really know how they plan to make money from Barnsley Football Club, but we know that's why they're here. If they're not willing to put any money in to the club, how could it be any worse having a bunch of us running it, who know a damnsight more about how English football works? Not that we've got a spare £16million to prise it from them like. As rotten and unethical as the likes of Wednesday and Derby are, at least the fans know the ownership are chasing success on the pitch as a priority. I really don't think we can say the same, which makes the whole fan 'experience' feel very pointless at the moment.
100%, and pretty much exactly what I said the other night. I've got absolutely no idea what they're supposed to be bringing to the club.
