A thought JR fought lovely tbh? A Went Jacobs 7-5 but it was a very close call, love to see JR against a real big name

Snoozefest of a fight until Round 7.

First six rounds were 6-0 or 5-1 to Jacobs. Last six rounds were 6-0 or 5-1 to Ryder. No issue with scorecards at 115-113 either way.

Jacobs stormed straight out after the fight :D

Only caught the second half of the fight so can’t comment on the scoring.

I feel like Ryder was due a bit of luck after the way he was robbed in Liverpool against Callum Smith not only of a world title but of a huge pay day against Canelo afterwards as well

Haven't seen this confirmed but from comments I think one of the judges scored the four of the first five rounds to Ryder. If true then that's appalling - but the British judge scored it to Jacobs, the American to Ryder, and then the Monaco judge to Ryder.

You're right on getting some luck. Deserved some for sure.

Although I agree Ryder deserves some luck in his career and his payday against Canelo but I fear for him in that fight. Not that there’s anyone out there at this weight division that can challenge Canelo but it’s a complete mismatch.

Would be a cash out but a great way to essentially end your career. Similar to Rocky Fielding being fed to the wolves for Canelo's first fight at Super Middleweight.

Canelo isn't coming to the UK for a 50/50 fight but he would for a Canelo 'homecoming' like against Ryder. Canelo is tied up for two fights anyway unless Golovkin loses to Murata in Japan.

Bizarre scorecards. No consistency with them at all
