He has never done out for me this season. I stated on a thread this week that he is a liability tonight he proved me right lost cut of the number of times he gave the ball away and left us at 6s n 7s scambling to get back and defend

All I can say is if he'll be at Tranmere in 3 years, Hammill will be out the game in 2. Absolute farce of a 'performance' once more.

Frustrating time for Kent at present. He's seen a lot of game time recently, he's still only young and very raw. He does need dropping, but im certain we will see him at his best again within the next couple of months.
This is something we must accept, that these young players will have these sort of periods.
We all know Kent has bags of potential, we have all seen it.

Nothing too much but at least he was willing to have a go as usual. He was certainly a lot better than Hammill who was, yet again a complete hindrance on us.

Just shows. Opinions. I thought we carried Kent all the game. One or two decent runs that came to nowt, no graft, no working back, then hits the first man when you want him to try and commit the man he had with him.

    Oh hum.

That cross was pathetic but then again so was that in the first half where the ball came to Hammill, he ran towards the right wing where Kent and someone else were completely open only to keep the ball, yet again, and end up losing it cheaply.

He's a young lad with plenty of time to develop but it could definitely go the other wAy if he doesn't improve his decision making and crossing. Needs to think more of the team and less of himself. It may come though there's summat there.

If he ends up in non-league in 3 years i'll give you all the money I have at that point in time. He wasn't great tonight but at least he gets you off his feet and can go past 2-3 players in a few seconds. Hammill was as bad tonight.

Opinions eh? My son in law, sat in the Geordie end, thought he was our best player first half.

He does make mistakes, but at least he gets you off your seat on occasions.

Lets go back 12months... to a Division below, results were hard to come by and the team low on confidence and I remember a young lad came in on loan Lloyd Isgrove. We knew little of him, and after just a could of games many had written off his career as a footballer.

He got slated big style!!! The short memories and same critcisms e.g. "all pace an no end product", "to light weight", "get him off and get Ryan Williams on".
But after he picked up an injury an spend a short spell on the sidelines, the conversation changed as our options were few and instead of focussing on the negatives I think some people then thought of the qualities he brought to the side e.g. Pace, Energy and tenacity. All of which lifted the side and kept tempo going.

Far to often darn at the well we seem to get on the back of the young players... in recent years I remember Connor Hourihane and Jacob Butterfield getting pelters yet at the time they were our prize assets, most creative players, and still young and developing.

Young Kent is just 19. Last night he put in a shift, tracked back and put in a few tackles, he made some decent runs, put in several dangerous balls (including chance late on for Bradshaw) and if lady luck were on our side he would have been clean through had the ball fallen for him.
My critisms of him; needs to be stronger on the ball and make better decisions.

On the other wing we have an experience lad 27/28year old veteran and fans favourite. Who should be a role model for the youngsters, leading and inspiring the team. Last night was a huge improvement on Saturdays performance, but still not the standard we expect from Hammill or the player we know he can be. He has been there and done it! I'll give him credit he worked hard for the team, even marked his man off the ball, and broke forward to lead attacks on several occassions. But the attacks broke down, mainly because of poor decision making on his part. It is a team game and the lad some times plays like he is out there on his own, trying to do it all himself, and the tricks and flicks aren't working at the moment. Never mind being subbed last night, I wouldn't have had him in starting XI after his poor performance on Saturday. The disgraceful nature that he left the field and disrespect shown, was not what you would expect from a senior pro.

Last night we were beaten by the better side. Lets face it they had quality all over the park. Not only do they have ability, they were also well organised and came with a game plan. We did not have an answer, or threaten their goal.

As for us I thought Bree and Jackson looked good coming into the side. Morsy and Hourihane made a decent pairing in the middle. Winnall and Watkins worked hard but had very little service and as a result we few opportunities. In possession we didn't move the ball quick enough, we worked hard to get possession but gave it away to easily, players either had no option or did not use it, to many direct arial balls, off the ball we worked hard and defended ok. But when you lose possession so easily and attacks are relentless something has got to give.

I hope Hammill apolgises publicly to Hecky, but I would still bench him next match. He needs to be disciplined for his antics very amateur. Lets hope we can get back on track against Brentford.

He's done nothing for us yet and been here three months playing for us. He is like a defensive midfielder because he rarely looks like scoring or setting up a goal for someone in an attacking position. He's really struggling but probably wouldn't get negative posts as much if he was part of our heros of last season who have earned the right to get a bit more of a break if performances aren't good enough. Makes you wonder if he has to start when fit because he hasn't been earning starts from his performances.

I can't understand why a thread about Kent ends up with 'Hammill's been worse' and? Seems weird that posters on here are having some sort of competition to prove which one of our wingers is in worse form.

Hammill needs to get in the game more, Kent needs to work on his end product. Simple.
