Barnsley winger Ryan Hedges is being tracked by a number of Championship and SPL clubs, according to HITC Sport.

Probably needs a run of games, but has done little to convince me he's a championship player so far. When's his contract up?

There's a good footballer in there somewhere tall, athletic, left footed, if he can shake his injury problems off and get a run of games he'll come good .

Being touted as Man of the Match in Wales 1-0 win. Hope he can put in a
similar performance if he's selected for any of the remaining games for us.
He's out of contract at the end of the season, so similar to Davies, he might
well be looking for pastures new come seasons end.

I always hoped for better from Hedges, and I did wonder at first if he could have been used as an emergency target man up front if needed. The jury is still out on him though and I dont think hes going to be with us long term.

Not convinced he is championship standard.

It's ironic really that he scored a few in the championship but has done the square root of toss all this year in the division below.

Yeah fair point. He seems an effective sub, but does nothing when starting. I think he could be decent, but think he'll be off. Stendel started Williams ahead of him at Donny didn't he.

He's a very capable player, I'm convinced of that but he needs a run of games.

At the beginning of the season we had a thread that asked....

Where we'd finish and who might be a player etc.

I picked hedges. He's disappointed so far but I still think he could. Wether or not he fits into our style of play now is another question.

I still think he can do it for us

Maybe his agent is telling few porkies there. He's been gash on the occasions he's started matches but done ok as a sub, championship quality he most certainly is not.

Fair play to him getting MOTM but Trinidad hardy looked any threat and Wales barely created anything. Don’t think anyone can read too much into his one performance in that game.

Seems a strange one. He plays as a winger just like his national team manager, who is one of the best players in premier league history and without a doubt the best left winger the premiership has had. So Giggs must see something in him to keep picking him for international squads, yet we don't see him as a third tier regular starter.

    Something doesn't add up.

Because he doesn’t have a massive pool of players to choose from.

Giggs isn’t a world class manager either.

Champonship clubs and SPL clubs. How does that work? Unless it's Celtic (at a push) the SPL clubs aren't comparable with Championship.

Nothing would surprise me but no way is he Championship standard. He would probably tear the SPL apart though. Either way I hope we can find a buyer.

Imho the one player i looked at and thought he would be a potential star in this division.
A chance to push on from his brief opportunities in the championship (mainly as sub), unfortunately this has not happened for him and it appears our coach isnt over keen.
Hope he can force his way in the starting 11 with some stella performances.
Didnt he start up front a few times for yeovil? if so he could have been that 3rd striker we have missed badly this term.
Come on ryan lad get back, get in in and get us up!
