At tarn hall. Someone in the letters page of the Chron. Doesn't like it and actually says it's an embarrassment. I actually like it. For no particular reason than I just do. I'd set up a vote for and against but dont know how to do it. And I'd fear I'm the only one that'd give it the thumbs up lol.
I like it, they've also put in to extend the lease. It could be a rusty sheriff's badge instead. Steve Dawson will be all over that.
Its art. Its not meant for everyone to like it. But some will - and others might be inspired by it and go on to create great art themselves. I'm not particularly artistic, but we need more public art.
There might not be anything to understand and if there is - as in your case - you don't have to understand it to like it
I like it personally. I also like that whole aspect at the top of Market Hill, next to what has to be one of the greatest town halls in the UK. We've also got statues of loads of legends & the tribute to the Oaks disaster. I'd like to hear what we should have? Maybe the Hanging Gardens of Babylon & a statue of herds of migrating wildebeest?
Why a rusty comb though ? What about a statue of Alan Barton the singer ( of the legendary Smokie ) in Living next door to Alice .. who the f…k is Alice ?
