I've had a quick look and I think there's only one free midweek slot left, and it's between the last two games of the season. With Luton and Coventry both to fit in what can they do? Play one during the international break maybe, if there aren't too many call ups? Seems unfair on their opponents either way, but I suppose there isn't really another option. It was stupid of the EFL not to factor in a couple of extra weeks at the end really - this was always a possibility, and arguably they've been lucky it hasn't been a bigger issue.
Stop the league now, positions now are recorded as final and we go straight into playoffs and the fowls go down . Problem solved
Would like to say this would be unfair on our South Yorkshire neighbours but the reality is it would stop the ongoing comedy value that is Sheffield Wednesday....
They’re either going to have to rearrange a couple more of their Saturday games, to go Friday, Monday, Thursday, Sunday, or accept they’ll have to play Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, or forfeit a game. It would appear that playing for Rotherham is statistically a risky business compared to other clubs
https://www.themillers.co.uk/news/2...of-testing-confirms-further-positive-results/ Shambolic tinpot club. It must be half a dozen games they have no had postponed due to covid. To fit them all in they might have to stop Saturday games and play something like Monday, Thursday, Sunday. By the time they play us they should be that tired we should be five up at half time.
I don't see Norwich collapsing. Unfortunately, the referees sh****** us at Forest and before that against Cardiff mean this run is only seven and not the nine wins it ought to be.
The only time i can see them fitting games in is after Easter Monday prior to the following Saturday and the week between the penultimate and final weekend of the season but that is if their opponent is in a position to play. They are treading a very dangerous path.
Much as I have, amongst all local teams, the least animosity towards Rovrum, they are becoming a bit of a joke club now, don't really see how they're getting away with it. My Cov supporting mate says they are lobbying the EFL re points deduction for them and can't say I blame them tbh.
They must be doing something wrong, only a handful of clubs have had positive COVID tests yet they've had loads. Need to get the world-beating track and trace system on this, oh hang on......
Thing is, if they are following protocol they shouldn't be punished, we're in the middle of a pandemic and they shouldn't be penalised because of it.
