    That's funny.

On a more serious note, can't understand why he's not getting a game. He looks a million dollars when he comes on. Oozes quality. At the moment Kane isn't producing.

It's redundant talking about systems because we've played every second of every game in the same system since the new manager took over. I think that's a huge shame as we could sacrifice a (admittedly hard working but limited) forward for a real quality midfielder. 3-5-2 instead of 3-4-3. And you could pick 3 central midfielders from Styles, Palmer, James and Mowatt. It's like having your cake and eating it. And if you play Styles as wing back (which I think you shouldn't) you could play all 4 of them and have Brittain on the right. First pick for me would be Palmer every time. I think he's excellent.

Palmer seems great at both the attacking and defensive side of his game. Something I think all midfielders should have.

Agree with @Jay Palmer has been excellent when he's been on the pitch. Looks good on the ball and does the defensive stuff well too.

with the players we have 352 would be my preferred formation. its strange that when are as limited by quality footballers as we are 2 of our best in Mowatt/James/Kane/Palmer has to sit on the bench.

the manager is committed to 343 and at least he isn't for changing, i like the fact he knows how he wants to play and will try to make that work. January might be quite enlightening to see if the club buys round pegs for round holes.

Given that sometimes we start to press from deeper, rather than a high press, would make sense to get an extra midfielder on the pitch. I think Styles, Mowatt or Palmer could do a job in the front three in place of Chaplin, if we wanted to stick with a 3-4-3, but giving ourselves the option of 3-5-2 if the game needs it.

I really like Palmer , when he has the ball, no matter how many of the opposition close him down he rarely loses the ball , its as if it is tied to his bootlace & he is a strong player who hopefully with more game time will continue to improve , certainly worth a starting place for me .
