Outplayed by the best away team performance i've seen as a third tier side stretching back to 1969 (possibly the very first one, the 0-3 thrashing by Orient) I didn't see any lack of fight by Dale, although can't comment on the last 20 minutes since i left early for the first time, ever Superb by the reds loved it . Fans were ace and so were players and staff
I know it's hard when your team are getting a caning, but if I were watching the best football I'd seen for 50 years I would have stayed to the end.
Me too - there have been times when we have been totally outclassed and to be honest I am OK with watching those games if we are genuinely beaten by a much better side. Its the ones where the opposition come to "do a job" on us I dont like So Fulham last season - wasnt a bad game to watch, Cardiff however....
We were still drawing v Fulham at 90 mins so I doubt if anyone left early, although I get what you mean. I've a confession - I like watching Manchester City.
I expected Rochdale to be harder to beat tbh, and them having ex reds and manager should have added a bit of interest. Apart from a header from Done and the shot saved in the second half, I can't remember them threatening. McNulty subbed, Perkins put a shift in as you would expect, but was over run by our young guns. Bit different to our last visit when we were awful.
