McDonald played as well as expected. Still need cover in at centre back though.

Yiadom also had a very good game, exquisite cross for the 3rd.

    Alfie who?

Good cross for what should have been the first as well.

There's no words for the performances Marc puts in week in week out, i've always thought he was the better of the two although they both have different strengths and weaknesses, I would just rather have Robbo in my backline but that's just an opinion obviously. He was talking Angus through the game as well, another captain in the team, full of them.

He was outstanding as usual, pre-printed name on the team sheet for me.

Not sure about immense though, I thought Elliot Lee was immense...

He's been my man of the match in every game I have seen so far this season. Absolute rock.

There's only 2 years between them. And actually, Robbo's and Angus' league/non-league appearance stats are not dissimilar. In experience terms, Roberts has the edge with last season's campaign and the few games this. Which is significant i know, but hardly the veteran and apprentice some people might think. It's probably the breathtaking development speed at BFC that makes it appear so. That can hopefully be the case for Angus too.

This is a predominantly football based post... :)

I could never understand why Mawson kept getting all the praise. Roberts was FXXXX up by LJ but ever since he has been back he has as you say been immense, awesome even.

I was a bit concerned about Angus in the first half, well very concerned to be honest, but he grew in to game and got better.
I thought he wasn't on the pace but he realized you don't get time to linger on the ball in the Championship. A player needs to know what he is going to do with the ball before he gets it and I don't think he did in the 1st half. Overall a good start to his Barnsley career, imho.

    gutted I missed today.
did Roberts simply just do what is expected, nothing out of the ordinary?
Were Hourihanes tackles from the right side or the wrong side?
